On Tuesday, the Mustangs traveled to Dilley looking to get back on track. The Mustangs got off to a slow start as they ended the 1st quarter trailing by a score of 17-5. They were able to get things going in the second quarter as they cut into the deficit and trailed by 9 going into halftime after a 16 point 2nd quarter. As the 3rd quarter started, the Mustangs continued to cut into the lead getting within 6 before Dilley turned it up offensively and hit some big 3s to create a little separation and outscore the Mustangs 22-10 in the 3rd quarter. The Mustangs would outscore the Wolves 11-7 in the 4th quarter but it wasn’t enough as the Mustangs fell to Dilley by a score of 59-42. The Mustangs drop to 5-6 in District and will host Cotulla on Friday.
